Thank you Olesia. We do appreciate all you have done!!!! We are planning to call another vet tomorrow morning to see if we can get an appointment for a whole new look on things - from the beginning. A new set of eyes never hurts and may lead to answering some questions.
Ruger has not had any of the issues you questioned, but he did live outside for the first 8 weeks of his life. It was March and April so I wouldn’t think of ticks at that time, but who knows. I know he did have worms when we went to our first vet visit, but I’m not sure if it was hookworms. We are wondering if he may have had whipworms as we did see mucus in his stool that disappeared after deworming. His second deworming just happened recently.
I’ll post again as soon as I know about the second opinion appointment. Fingers crossed that we can get in soon.

Re: Ruger - New Case Trying to Stabilize
thanks for this information.... a parasite infestation such as whip worms, hook worms, etc.... may be causing the low blood values.... but i am so glad to hear that you are going to try and get a 2nd opinion, because if this is the case it will need to be verified and he will need to be further treated for it.......as something is triggering these low blood values and i truly believe it should be looked into.
Paws and fingers crossed that you get a 2nd opinion soon. Please do keep us posted!!!
