Huge loss... RIlind passed away
It is with extreme deep sadness that i am sharing with you, Rilind, the dog that was found tossed in a dumpster like trash, taken to a vet and discovered that he had EPI. Was thankfully rescued by the Pit Sisters and then lovingly cared for by Ms. Kofkyn and then adopted into an amazing and loving forever home.... has passed away due to aggressive bone cancer. Rilind touched the lives of so many via his 10k+ Facebook page.... BUT.... what many do not know is the huge impact Rilind had on EPI world-wide. Because of his EPI story and pictures, he is on brochures and our website, also used in veterinarian journals and seminars, Rilind brought awareness to EPI world wide, in the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and South America... just to name a few places.
If anyone would like to go to Rilind Reborn FB page.... here is a link: https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q= ... SEARCH_BOX
Forever in our hearts, God Speed Rilind.

Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........

What a wonderful Being and true ambassador for EPI treatment Rilind has been! Thank you for letting us know, Olesia. His story is a true example of the "worst" experience becoming the "best" gift. We are all lifted up by it.
Thank you, Rilind, for being such a gift to all who know and love you.

Re: Huge loss... RIlind passed away
This is just devastating. Rilind was larger than life and helped give hope to thousands of EPI owners around the world. I was lucky enough to have met him last year and I can tell you that sweet hippo was even more gorgeous in person. He was such a ham with a personality that was in deed captivating. Run free sweet boy, thank you for all you did for bringing awareness to EPI.
Madelon, owned by DOC. DOC dx EPI 5/2015 = TLI < .4, B12 406; Folate >24. DOC taught me so much and together we battled and overcame EPI, food sensitivies, environmental allergies but we lost the cancer battle. DOC was dx with hemangiosarcoma 5/2022 and crossed the rainbow bridge July 24, 2022. He is and always will be the love of my life, my soulmate, my heart dog.

Re: Huge loss... RIlind passed away
His story just goes to show what perfect beings dogs are. To have suffered the treatment he had been given, and to become such a wonderful, loving companion, highlights the trusting, forgiving nature of a dog. I have not always been a dog/animal lover...bark, fur, poop...but a few years ago, Tucker with all his problems, woke me, and now I am a total sucker. Rilind's story has brought me to tears, every time I've read it. RIP, gentle one. You were loved.---Pam
Tucker was a shepherd mix--- TLI 1.3, Folate 9.7, Cobalamin 666, Lipase 38. Diane's Enzymes 4 t/day, B12 1 capsule/day, and Tylan 1/16 teaspoon/day. Taste of the Wild High Prairie, 4 c/day. 60 to 85 pounds! Tucker succumbed to hemangiosarcoma Nov. 2023. I will always, always miss my sweet big boy.
Now there's Nina. 5 year old GSD. TLI 1.0 B12 323. We are still tweaking her routine, and getting lots of help from the forum. She is klutzy and goofy, and we love her dearly, too.

I cried when I read of his passing posted by Pit Sisters. Rilands post literally saved Tinkerbell’s life. My vet was at a loss for a diagnosis and when I read about him, it clicked that that what was wrong with her. Pit Sisters gave me your Site info after her confirmed diagnosis. I am forever grateful to him and Pit Sisters and everyone at EPI4dogs. RIP Riland You are a hero.
