I'll have to get some new photos of him. He's a cutie. I'm just so happy he's finally gaining weight!

Re: Another foster with EPI... Altuve!
Ok, finally have an update... We switched to Wonderlabs b12. And switched from a salmon based food to a trout based food with NO PEAS. She was going to be switching the enzyme too. AND GUESS WHAT?! He's up to 73 lbs yesterday! (He was 55lbs when we got him, he went up to 62 but we couldn't seem to g...

Re: Another foster with EPI... Altuve!
The Purina Pro Sensitive was recommended to try, so we did. At first, he gained 2 lbs and finally had some quality poo. I'm wondering if the enzyme switch is more to blame than the food.

Re: Another foster with EPI... Altuve!
You know, I agree with you guys... He has gained a few pounds but, but not like he should. Hence the food and enzyme switches. We know it's just a matter of finding the right combo of treatments, so the foster is trying to find what works. And is frustrated and feels bad for the pup. She is feeding ...

Another foster with EPI... Altuve!
Hi all! Some of you might remember my other foster dog Roxanne, who was diagnosed with EPI, and we got her stable and adopted and she is SO loved. It's one of my best adoption stories of the year! Well, it's a german shepherd rescue, so we have another dog with EPI as well. I'm not fostering him, bu...

Re: Success! Roxanne is getting adopted!
Thanks everyone. It's super a perfect match, the new adopter's daughter is a vet tech. So he's already researching the best foods. And you know I gave him a sheet with this website on it :) So happy! And we switched our other EPI dog to a fish based food (Enzyme Diane's suggestion!), and he's gainin...

Success! Roxanne is getting adopted!
I'm so excited and wanted to thank everyone for helping me with my foster dog Roxanne. She is up TEN pounds, and nearly at her goal weight (at 65lbs right, she could gain a few more, but she looks fantastic compared to her 52 lbs when she was pulled from the shelter!) And the best news of all, she h...

Wow really? I hadn't seen that study.
I talked to the vet tech that volunteers with the rescue. Haven't made an official vet appointment yet!

Re: New, sorting it out, curious about CBD oil
Just to report back, I finally got that B12 shot done! Had my son help me so I would stop wussing out everytime she winced. LOL I've done a few injections before, tenting at the scruff at the neck, I must have been going deeper than I needed to or something. Because I finally got it where she was fi...
