Thank you, Jill! I'm making the capsules now, so I appreciate the fast response! If she gains back the weight, do I bump back up to 1/4? Or only if she goes over 60?
I'm going out of town- so added pressure because I can't keep a close eye on her poop!
Again, I can't thank you enough.

Re: Hoppy the EPI Foster Dog
Actually, I just weighed her and she's 55lbs. Should I be giving her 1/8 tsp of Tylan?? Eek. She's already had 2 doses of a little less than 1/4 tsp. Help!

Re: Hoppy the EPI Foster Dog
Thank you so much, Olesia and Jill! This forum and site have been a godsend. I have her on a little less 1/4 tsp of Tylan (she's 57lbs)- it seems to be helping already. Making the capsules is messy and time consuming- but I've read that tylan is forgiving so I'm trying not to worry if I don't get ev...

Re: Hoppy the EPI Foster Dog
Hi Everyone! Update on Hoppy- things have been... very *poopy around here (*substitute vulgar word here.) Overall, Hoppy is improving- her weight was up to 58 lbs (her lowest was 40 and she was 46 when I got her). We followed the advice here and stopped the metro- but because she was actually at the...

Re: Hoppy the EPI Foster Dog
Hi Everyone, Hoppy update... I haven't gotten an answer on switching to Tylan- the rescue is super busy and I need to nudge them again. We've stayed the course on 3/4 tsp 8x Diane's Enzymes per cup (4-5 cups a day) Flagyl 2x a day and grain free, low fiber food (Nulo Freestyle Turkey). We stopped th...

Re: Hoppy the EPI Foster Dog
Hi everyone! Thank you again for more helpful tips. I haven't made any changes since my last post. Her poop has STILL been various degrees of a 7 score until this morning she had a 6. Her energy has been so much better than when I first brought her home and all she did was sleep, but I'm still worri...

Thank you so much Jill, Jean, Barb and Olesia for the awesome info. It's been 2 steps forward, 2 steps back and it's really great to have this support. I understand why this forum is so dedicated! She is the sweetest dog and it's hard to not get everything figured out faster. These EPI dogs really a...

Re: Hoppy the EPI Foster Dog
Thanks, Jill. The enzymes are EnzymeDiane 8x, which is why 4.5 tsp per cup seemed like a lot. The rescue agreed to lowering her dose, so 2 days ago I switched to 1.5 tsp (mixed with warm water, coating every bit of food, incubated for 20min) but my concern is that her poop seems to be getting softer...
