Re: Ruger - New Case Trying to Stabilize

Hey Sallie & Ruger - Welcome to the EPI Family. It is certainly a difficult process to figure things out and I remember how scary it all was for both Onza and Ziska. If indeed Ruger proves not to be EPI, he may be better able to tolerate Royal Canin Gastrointestinal dog food and they do have it ...

Re: Bad Lucy getting into food

Hope today finds Lucy doing well in spite of her 'food excursion'! We think of her often and know sweet Ziska is smiling down from puppy heaven on you all!

Re: New EPI diagnosis, doesn't want to eat

We hope things get better soon! Hang in there. Olesia gives fantastic information and always has literally helped to save our 2 epi dogs' lives in the past. Thoughts are with you.

Thank you to those that responded. We do have someone we are sending the enzymes to! I'm sure sweet little Ziska is smiling down upon us now! Everyone take care. We love you all!

Re: Update on Lucy and recommendation needed

Hi! So glad Lucy is doing well! Ziska was so resilient re: EPI...she always responded well to enzymes, etc. But our epi GSD previously, Onza, was a different story. She was SO sensitive to enzymes, food, etc. From the time she was diagnosed with epi at 4 y/o until she passed at about 13 y/o, we had ...

Enzymes from Ziska with love

Our 2nd EPI dog, Ziska, passed away a few weeks ago. We realize that sometimes meeting physical and financial demands to care for your EPI pup can be very challenging. We would like to offer enzymes that we purchased from Enzyme Diane. We used very little before Ziska declined eating food with enzym...

Ziska, our 2nd EPI dog: Her journey has ended

Ten days ago Ziska lost her battle with degenerative myelopathy (DM), which is a horrible disease. She came to us weighing only 32 pounds at approx. 8-9 yrs old. She was severely emaciated and had no spirit due to malnourishment and probably being crated for 24 hours a day thus having lifelong UTI/b...

Re: Disguising enzymes

Thank you for your responses but unfortunately nothing seemed to work. On Monday she stopped drinking water and declined rapidly. We had to let her pass over the rainbow bridge at our home on Wednesday by our very caring vet.

Disguising enzymes

We haven't been on the Forum in a long time. Our 2nd EPI dog, Ziska, has been doing excellent as far as EPI is concerned until recently. She has had DM (degenerative myelopathy) for over 2 1/2 years. Ziska, is thought to be 14 years old. She is a rescue dog who we started fostering in July 2017 and ...
