Oooh... keep us posted!

Is this a similar dose to what you used when trying the enteric coated capsules with powder)??
Chance was my 4 legged soul mate. My mobility assist service dog. Pure yellow Lab, 75 lbs. After struggling with weight all his life, finally dx with EPI. cTLI < 1, folate and B12 very low. Fed Raw. Maintained with Creon, Garden of Life probiotic and intermittent calcium bentonite clay. (Tylosin was a big nightmare for him)!

Rylee is Chance's successor; also pure Yellow/Fox red Lab. Started with symptoms at 8 weeks. At 6 months of age, also prescribed Creon due to suspected EPI (due to passing large amounts of undigested food). Currently suspected of blockages in pancreatic ducts. She is maintained VERY nicely on Creon and probiotics. Also raw fed.

Thank you, Jeremy.
Tucker was a shepherd mix--- TLI 1.3, Folate 9.7, Cobalamin 666, Lipase 38. Diane's Enzymes 4 t/day, B12 1 capsule/day, and Tylan 1/16 teaspoon/day. Taste of the Wild High Prairie, 4 c/day. 60 to 85 pounds! Tucker succumbed to hemangiosarcoma Nov. 2023. I will always, always miss my sweet big boy.

Now there's Nina. 5 year old GSD. TLI 1.0 B12 323. We are still tweaking her routine, and getting lots of help from the forum. She is klutzy and goofy, and we love her dearly, too.

Great idea Jeremy - - thank you so much for starting this thread dedicated to Micrazym 25.... and a huge thank you to you and of course little Eddie for doing a trial with Micrazym !
Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........

It has been 18 hours, give or take, I want to update with my initial impressions.
The capsules are huge, I will have zero chance of Eddie swallowing the whole capsule without biting. Though him biting it isn't as bad as the other capsules. They are also end capped unlike the B12 capsules. Meaning you can take off the red part and all of the pellets are contained in the lower section.
Price wise, they are more expensive then enzyme Diane. The 500gram enzymediane 8X usually lasts Eddie about 5 months. With 5 months of micrazym will be about 220, enzymediane is about 188. Not too much more and will definitely be worth not having to mess with powder or filling the capsules. He is getting about half of 25,000 capsule right now. He only eats twice a day no matter how many meals we try to feed him. He will only eat two of them. We do plan on adjusting the dosage depending on how it all goes
His poops this morning was wet, but there was no food in it. We are in the process of switching his food. Every couple months he will get tired of his food and stop eating it. We then have to change his food but can't transition quickly because he won't eat the old stuff.
I will update again soon.

question--I must have missed something. I thought you said you would sprinkle 1/2 the capsule onto his meal. And I'm looking at the price $42.00ish for 50& I don't understand this at all. Sorry.

I'm curious, what dose of Enzyme Diane 8x do you usually give per meal? Trying to compare that to Micrazym.

I'm struggling a bit with the math too? One box of Micrazym sells for about $43. That should last 50 days, if you give half capsule per meal. So 4 months worth would be less than $110. ?? That's cheaper than $188 from enzyme Diane, by a fair bit. Am I missing something? But that's assuming that half capsule is Eddie's optimal dose....but it might take time to establish an exact dose, I'm sure.

1/2 capsule per meal 2/meals a day, means 1 capsule a day. Each box will last about 25 days. I would need 5-6 boxes in a five month period. 43x5 is 215. It would be 125 days. My last order of enzyme Diane 500 gram was June 6th. It would have maybe lasted until November 6th, but I was getting ready to reorder.
I normally gave him slightly more than half a teaspoon. It was at the 3ML on the sliding measuring spoon I have.

I am still confused

Half capsule per meal, at half capsule each is 1 capsule per day. I am following you until that part.

But at 50 capsule in a box, 1 capsules per day, each box lasts 50 days. It's 25 days if you gave 2 capsules per day (a full pill each of the 2 meals).

So your 4 boxes example lasts you almost 7 months..... To me, it's pretty cost effective for Eddie!
