Sounds like you're on the right track, Josh! I use Wonderlabs Pet Factor B12. Pretty sure I told you Amazon sells them. There will be ups & downs, but to me the most important thing is the enzyme/kibble ratio. I have never stopped giving Tucker little treats, and he's remained pretty stable over the years. Occasionally SID will flare & we do Tylan to stop all the gas. Aren't you glad you researched her symptoms & got the show on the road? Good job! ---Pam
Tucker was a shepherd mix--- TLI 1.3, Folate 9.7, Cobalamin 666, Lipase 38. Diane's Enzymes 4 t/day, B12 1 capsule/day, and Tylan 1/16 teaspoon/day. Taste of the Wild High Prairie, 4 c/day. 60 to 85 pounds! Tucker succumbed to hemangiosarcoma Nov. 2023. I will always, always miss my sweet big boy.

Now there's Nina. 5 year old GSD. TLI 1.0 B12 323. We are still tweaking her routine, and getting lots of help from the forum. She is klutzy and goofy, and we love her dearly, too.

Now that you have a diagnosis, you can proceed, knowing what you are dealing with. Good for you for doing your research and getting a head start on treatment. Luna is lucky to have you. Let us know how she does.

Now that you have the correct diagnosis... you can proceed :)

As mentioned by others, i would start supplementing with B12... i personally used Wonderlabs Pet Factor B12.

Also.... i agree with your vet but not for the same explanation... your dog does indeed have SID/SIBO... as ALL dogs with EPI have it... no matter what the Folate score is... HOWEVER..... our job is to keep it under good control as best we can. Since all is working well now ... i would continue with what you are doing, and don't change anything except add B12... and no need to add Tylan at this time... we only add Tylan if/when we cannot get the stools, or other symptoms of SID/SIBO under good control with other tips and tricks in managing EPI .
Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........
