Izzy, the inspiration for Epi4Dogs passed away....
Re: Izzy, the inspiration for Epi4Dogs passed away....
Springer spaniel Marti had Epi, PLE , MMM just to confuse me. She lived till 12yrs, chubby and happy despite eight years of epi.
Capsule enzymes suited her best. B12 supplements made her into a new dog!
After a cocker with PLN kidney disease, I now have two healthy rescues, a lively, suicidal , small ginger terrier, adopted with pneumonia, and gum disease needing nearly all his teeth out, and a fluffy grey toy poodle/terrier from Greece.

Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........

While I've corresponded with Olesia off the forum having just seen the thread I'd like to comment for the record. Olesia and all the members who shared and helped at the time were responsible for saving my gorgeous Lulu who left me too soon but without O and the gang I wouldn't have had 7 more wonderful years with her. I'll be forever cosmically grateful for the life of Izzy, a little water dog I never met and her Mum who never took no for an answer. A beautiful tribute to your special grrrl Olesia. Much love.

Thanks Craig..... although EPI was a journey none of us wanted... in the end it was a journey that gave so many of us hope and new friendships that has surpassed the ups and downs of life.
Thank you for your lovely tribute to Izzy ... Izzy, Miss Lulupants and all the others that have come and gone in our lives have truly touched our souls in ways that will never be forgotten.

Oh wow, I'm so sorry to hear about Izzy's passing. She truly sounds like she was an amazing dog and a great companion for all those years. It's incredible how she inspired you to create Epi4Dogs and really make a difference in the lives of so many other dogs suffering from EPI. Her story and legacy will definitely live on, and I'm sure countless other furry friends owe their health and happiness to her and your efforts.
