Re: Numerous Stools per day
Thanks everyone for your replies. All good info and hopefully, we can get Rory's volume down or maybe he's just like Tucker and it's "normal" for him.

Re: Numerous Stools per day
Thank you for the replies! We have had Rory for a little over a year and started right away working on his EPI as his previous people did not properly address it. We already had Belle who has EPI so knew what to do with Rory. Here's what we've done and are currently doing: Food: Taste of the Wild Pa...

Numerous Stools per day
Hi, This year we have added a 2 yr old Pem Welsh Corgi who has EPI to our pack. His EPI test came back showing virtually zero pancreatic enzymes - lab actually ran the test twice to make sure. We give him 1/2 cup of kibble with 3/4 tsp of enzymes twice a day. His stools are pretty well formed but ca...

Re: Best diet for non Diabetic EPI Pup
Hi Pam, I responded to you with that info back on Aug 4th. Belle is doing great. She's up to 26 lbs. We just had new fasting blood work done (not a new GI panel) today and all her abnormal numbers are now back to normal. Surprisingly enough, I had to argue with my Vet to run a B12 test. But, I preva...

Best diet for non Diabetic EPI Pup
I apologize if this has already been covered. I found lots of posts for dogs with diabetes + EPI but couldn't find a straight forward answer for non-diabetic pups. I am reading conflicting information on line (not here) saying diet should be grain-free or diet should be low fat. And, depending upon ...

Re: Autoimmune issues causing EPI?
Thank you for the welcome, Olesia. While, as you say, I would rather not be here, I am so thankful that this site exists. It has provided a wealth of information on a condition, that up until 3 weeks ago, I had no idea even existed. I would be at a loss without it. I have even told my vet about it a...

Re: Autoimmune issues causing EPI?
Hi Pam, Our first Corgi was Tucker! Truly an incorrigible pup! If anyone should have gotten EPI it should have been him. He ate anything and everything. Lived to the ripe, old age of 15! Belle is our 5th Corgi, along with her cousin Oliver, our 6th, who is 6 yrs. That's why this is such a surprise f...

Autoimmune issues causing EPI?
I wanted to see if anyone has experienced autoimmune issues with their pup prior to being diagnosed with EPI. About a year ago, our Pembroke Welsh Corgi Belle, at age 6 years, was diagnosed with what out vet thought was Symmetrical Lupoid Onychodystrophy (SLO)- an abnormal toe nail formation. - whic...
