Is there a possibility she has picked up a parasite? Sometimes it's as simple as the dog licking their paws after going out for a walk, and if you visit dog parks, risks are much, much higher.

Montgomery... Did your pup go a long while before diagnosis? I've always thought that's why Montgomery has never had a normal pink cat bum. It does take effort for him to go to the bathroom. He went for years not even knowing he was going, and now that his stool is normal and his bowel and brain are...

I've been putting Montgomery's enzymes into gelatine capsules for years. I give him his capsules with plenty of water and then immediately feed him. We did this to stop the mouth ulcers he was experiencing. He's thriving, and we don't waste enzymes.

Is she drinking enough water? Can you encourage her to consume more if needed by freezing water in a kong or adding it to her food, for instance?

Especially when you don't get a warning of an up-coming formula change or potential shortages. Sometimes I think the manufacturors of pet food don't actually live with pets.

I had a foster kitten named Malcolm with a grade four heart murmur. He sounded like a washing machine when I held him to my ear. The veterinarian wasn't optomistic. However, he was adopted to an experienced and mindful person and he is a happy, healthy senior. Don't let it get you down too much.

V... you made me laugh.... and yes i DO think genes has a lot to do with much of it..... but over 15 years, we have seen patterns emerge with these EPI pets... but the difficult thing is when we "suggest" certain brands and then they change the formula or if there is a recall, or of it is...

I've heard it said, too, that any cat living long enough will wind up with kidney disease. In my experience, it seems to be true.
