Re: Ruger - New Case Trying to Stabilize

No question is dumb! Most dogs that are diagnosed with Epi also have SID. You ususlly can diagnose it by symptoms: sloppy poops, rumbling tummy, gas, acid reflux. Also low B12 encourages SID so you need to make sure the B12 level is in the upper high range. A high folate number can indicate SID also...

Re: Ruger - New Case Trying to Stabilize

Since it is not Epi I was wondering if any blood levels were off that could help you to go in a direction.
Thanks. Others will check in here soon see what they might say.
Any chance you could take a picture of the results and post it here?

Re: Ruger - New Case Trying to Stabilize

Interesting thank you. I am not sure the enzymes are doing anything since Epi nor Pancreatitis is present.
Maybe an IBD?
Are all his blood results good?

Re: Ruger - New Case Trying to Stabilize

The Tli score of 13.3 is in the normal range indicating your pup does not have Epi.
The B12 and Folate are in normal range. Has he been checked for parasites?

Re: Newly diagnosed GSD

You are in great hands with Jean snd Patsy. Also you might want to keep a daily journal of food/meds in and output for reference.
