The GSDCA National Event
Epi4Dogs was honored to be invited by Lynn P. Goswick the Web Chair of the GSDC of Houston to the 2023 GSDCA National Event hosted at the Illinois State Fairgrounds located in Springfield Illinois. It was a well-attended event with many German Shepherd dog owners. Epi4Dogs was thrilled to attend because we had many people who stopped by our booth to either share stories of a dog that they had or have that sounds like it just might be EPI. It was a great venue to bring better awareness to the EPI condition. Some even had dogs in the past with EPI and wished back then that they had the information that we were sharing at this event about treatment that could have greatly helped their dogs. This event was more than well-worth our time attending and much thanks to Lynn Goswick for inviting us!
Attendance at our booth was Olesia Kennedy from Epi4Dogs, Diane Sloan from Enzyme Diane, Dr. Leigh Anne Clark, Geneticist at University of Georgia, and Thais Fontenelle, PhD Student at University of Georgia. The purpose of Epi4Dogs’ attendance was to bring more awareness to EPI and we more than successful! The researchers from the University of Georgia were very successful collecting samples or commitments of samples for the EPI Genetic Study .
